The program is held over an intensive six-day training period which successfully combines academic lectures, expert talks, and company visits, complemented by extensive pre and post module activities.
Will Cardwell is Lecturer and New Projects Lead at the Aalto Ventures Program, Aalto University. His expertise includes above all venturing and venture capital.
Will Cardwell has spent 15 years in the Finnish hightech environment as a CEO of a startup, venture capitalist, CEO of Technopolis Ventures, investment banker, researcher and lecturer. He has been on the board of 15 Finnish companies. He has been in charge of coordinating Aalto University’s strategic university partnerships and co-founded the Aalto Center for Entrepreneurship.
During his career in the game industry, Juha has been a developer, scriptwriter, project manager, lecturer, head of studio, lead designer, entrepreneur, head of incubator, CEO and now General Manager of PlayStack Helsinki.
He has worked on 100 published games with over 30 industry awards, been building Finland’s biggest game education, arranged Bit1 event, he’s a member of Neogames board, start-up mentor and now scouts teams for publishing and funding in Finland, Nordics, Baltics, and Russia.
Dr. Riitta Lumme-Tuomala
Riitta Lumme-Tuomala’s key qualifications are in the areas of leadership, especially from the point of view of different generations at the same workplace, young potential development, talent management and individual diversity (MBTI Step I and Step II Certification) and self-leadership.
She is an experienced and frequent lecturer on the mentioned topics. Lumme-Tuomala holds a Master of Sciences degree in Economics with a major in International Marketing from the Helsinki School of Economics and EMBA degree from HSE Executive Education. She defended her DBA dissertation on Talent Management in June 2017.
Teemu Malmi is Professor of Accounting at Aalto University School of Business. He specializes in managerial control systems, strategy implementation and cost, and profitability accounting.
Professor Malmi has served as a consultant to a large number of companies from different industries, e.g. Computers, Electrical, Energy, Finance, Food processing, Furniture, Health Care, Media, Metal and Engineering, Paper and Pulp, Pharmaceuticals, Rental Services, Retail, telecom and Transportation/logistics. He has also served ministries, municipalities and hospitals.
Janos Perei is the Chief Marketing Officer at HYPERVSN. He is a seasoned marketer with core focus on strategic marketing management and controlling. He held various positions in marketing and advertiser companies with key emphasis on setting up, managing and optimising performance based marketing activities leveraging digital - specifically mobile - media outlets.
Perei currently assumes overall responsibility of the marketing activities at HYPERVSN, a London-based technology company which develops disruptive 3D holographic system. He also works as a mobile marketer for mercury black, a mobile marketing company specialising in the gaming and app industry.
He holds a Master of Sciences degree in Economics and Business Administration with a major in Innovation Management from the Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University and a Diploma in Marketing Communications from the International Advertising Association.
Fabian Sepulveda is a Senior Advisor at Aalto University Executive Education. He is actively involved in Finland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem as a startup coach and Lean Launchpad® trainer, and helps organizations understand and execute Lean Startup methodologies and customer development.
Sepulveda has more than 20 years of experience in engineering, management consulting and investment banking at companies such as Lucent Technologies, A.T. Kearney, and J.P. Morgan.
He teaches Venture Formation and other courses at the Aalto Ventures Program and Aalto University Executive Education. He cofounded eyescubed, a startup in automotive technology, and also cofounded Courage Ventures Advisory, which provides entrepreneurship training and development to leading private and public organizations. He is also a cofounding Partner of Courage Ventures Management, a fund investing in health & wellness, education, and environment verticals.
Sepulveda has a PhD in International Business (Entrepreneurship) from Aalto University, an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (Netherlands) and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University (USA).
Shailendra Vyakarnam is the Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield School of Management.
Dr. Vyakarnam has combined academic, practitioner and policy interests to provide advice to governments and on the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems, technology commercialization and entrepreneurship education.
He has mentored entrepreneurs and held non-executive directorships of small firms in addition to developing growth programs for SMEs over several years. From 2003 to 2015 he focused on the development of practitioner-led education for entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning.
Dr. Vyakarnam is specialized in board room team development across industries, business growth strategies, mentoring early stage businesses. He is familiar with most industry sectors due to the long experience of working with businesses.
Dr Vyakarnam was awarded "Best Entrepreneurship Professor" at the 2nd Asian Business Schools Awards in 2011. In 2012 he was elected to the prestigious European Academy of Science and Arts.
Elina Arponen is the CEO and Founder of Quicksave. She is a serial entrepreneur. Her previous startup Tribe Studios was acquired by Palringo where she worked as Head of Chat Games.
Tribe Studios created the Dramagame technology that enables an innovative combination of chatting and gameplay. Before Tribe Studios Arponen worked at Digital Chocolate. She has M.Sc in Computer Science and has been 5 years in the Board of Finnish Game Studios Association.
Andrei Buzura game designer and product owner at Sulake which is known for making games with big communities. He has been designing Hotel hideaway for the past 4 years and actively participating in road mapping and planning. Enjoying the challenge of designing for a game with no core loop.
Teemu Haila is a Games Industry Entrepreneur and Executive. Throughout his career, Haila has been a facilitator and a connector of dots. He successfully brought people together to study games, make games and build companies that make games.
Sharing those experiences is a great way to understand subjects even better and, as it turns out, is also a great way to build an extensive network. Haila was given a lifetime award by IGDA Finland in 2018 for his contributions to the Finnish gaming community.
Petri Ikonen is Creative Director at Electronic Arts Finland. He is an experienced game designer with a thick skin and great sense of humor and has a wide skill set from gameplay design to team leadership and game production.
Ikonen is very hands on and has a get things done attitude. He has an artsy background in the entertainment industry (theater, television) as an actor, director and scriptwriter. Tech proficient: interested in programming languages, IDEs, game dev tools, prototyping & scripting.
Jarkko Kainulainen is Lead Artist at Rovio Entertainment Corporation. He is a long-term entrepreneur and a versatile Artist and Designer.
Kainulainen Co-Founded PlayRaven which was acquired in 2018 by Rovio.
Kalle Kaivola is an independent game director and consultant. He has worked on games for two decades as a producer, publisher and most recently investor as a partner in Sisu Game Ventures.
His work has taken him across IP from Angry Birds to The Walking Dead and he has shipped games for over 250 million people on over a dozen platforms. Kaivola is currently working as an investor, advisor, and consultant with companies both large and small and is always looking forward to working with people who love what they are doing.
Karoliina Korppoo is the Co-Founder, CEO at Visual Novel Entertainment and Game Producer at Veikkaus. She has made her mark by designing games such as award winning Cities: Skylines at Colossal Order, where she managed the design team.
Korppoo has worked in the game industry since 2007: before Colossal Order as a QA engineer in Universomo and as a lead artist in Kyy Games Ltd. Her work has also included creative writing and level design. She is a successful speaker having performed for instance in TED Talk and other events around the world.
Arto Käyhkö is the Vice President of Business Development at Apprien Oy Ltd. He has nearly 20 years experience from international business and consulting operations. He is a professional executive with a focus on managing sales, marketing, and consulting teams.
Käyhkö has gained industry experience from Mobile Games to Banking and from ICT to Investment Consulting. He is also passionate about service design and finding business potential from unexpected places.
Arja Martikainen is Business & Concept Owner at Northstar talent community Nordics at Barona. She has participated to over 20 mergers and acquisition as well as to integration projects.
Martikainen has recruited hundreds of game and tech developers as well as people to other functions like sales or BI. Her specialties are: human resources generalist, recruiting, games, operative management, internal communications, mergers and acquisitions, events management.
Ville Rauma is the COO at Fingersoft Ltd. He is an All-around game development professional with over a decade of experience. He has been responsible for designing and developing everything from minor game systems and tools to massively scalable, real-time server/client architectures with all the bells and whistles.
Rauma has also been heavily involved building and organizing game companies from the ground up. Currently, at Fingersoft, he is responsible for all the day-day operations of a hugely successful mobile game development studio.
Simon Rozner is the Design Lead of Battle Studio at Rovio Entertainment. He has worked as a designer and game artist over 21 years in top studios such as Lionhead, Interplay and Ubisoft ranging from AAA PC and console to F2P Mobile games.
Lasse Seppänen is Producer at Supercell. A veteran in the game industry executive, perhaps best known as Remedy's Executive Producer on Alan Wake, now heading an innovative massively multiplayer/social mobile games studio backed by Northzone, Creandum, and early-stage Supercell investors Jari Ovaskainen and London Venture Partners.

Samuli Syvähuoko is a game industry serial entrepreneur and investor. He is an early pioneer of the Finnish game industry. He has founded Remedy Entertainment, Fathammer, Recoil Games, Helsinki GameWorks, Sisu Game Ventures, and Lightheart.
Anu Tukeva is the HR Manager of Housemarque, the oldest video game company in Finland, known of its fast-paced twin-stick shooters for console & PC. She's passionate about employee's well-being, developing company culture, conflict management and organizing great events.
Tukeva is one of the founding members and board members of Women in Games Finland, a newly founded NGO that focuses on improving the diversity and inclusiveness within the Finnish games industry.
Peter Vesterbacka is Co-Founder and Brand Breaker at Lightneer. He is a founder of the startup event Slush. Formerly Vesterbacka was known as the MightyEagle of Rovio, the company behind Angry Birds.
Vesterbacka also works as a BrandBreaker in Lightneer, a company making learning fun through fantastic games and other products. Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people on the planet already in 2011.

The program fee for the Game Executive program is € 4,950 (+ VAT).
The program fee includes in-class materials, lunches and coffee breaks during the program days. Please note that the program fee does not include travel expenses or accommodation. VAT is applicable to Finnish companies and private persons.
