Aalto ENT’s Game Executive Program is Joining Forces with 6th Pocket Gamer Connects Conference
Aalto University Developing Entrepreneurship’s (Aalto ENT) Game Executive program has been selected as one of the media partners of the Pocket Gamer Connects conference. The conference is held in Finland, the spiritual home of the mobile games industry for the 6th time on October 1-2, 2019.
“Taking place immediately after the 2019 IGDA Leadership Summit, Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2019 represents an unparalleled opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s most creative and successful games developers on their home turf. It’ll be the country’s biggest B2B games conference, not to mention one of the biggest in the entire Nordic region. You can expect over 1,300 international delegates and over 600 companies from 50 different countries. And since the show is even bigger and better this year, it’s moving to a new venue with more space on offer at Helsinki’s Cable Factory“ says COO Dave Bardley from Steel Media, the organizer of the conference.
It’s already shaping up to be the biggest yet
All the biggest game-making names typically attend, from established stars like Rovio, Supercell, Fingersoft, Small Giant Games, Seriously and Next Games to rapid growing challengers like FrogMind, FuturePlay, Nitro and Kopla plus a new wave of exciting launches – and that’s just the locals! As with all Pocket Gamer Connects events this will be an international affair, with the aim to draw top companies like King, Sybo and Mag Interactive from across the Nordics as well as leading names from Europe, US and Asia too. Over 150 expert speakers will share their insight across multiple tracks on the very topics and trends that are pressing to all participants in the modern games industry, from raising funds and growing player bases to fine-tuning live ops, exploring new platforms and genres (such as esports, hyper casual, live games and streaming services) working with influencers and maintaining a strong, fair company culture. The first confirmed speakers are available to view.
Ultimately though it’s all about making connections and getting business done and with that in mind we have a free dedicated meeting system for ALL delegates plus a plethora of focused side events to stimulate networking (such as the Big Indie Pitch, the curated Investor Connector session, and the glorious Global Connects Party!). More activities will be announced closer to the date.
Beginning in October, two weeks after Pocket Gamer Connects, Game Executive is a program designed for game companies seeking exponential growth. It familiarizes participants with the fundamentals and strategies that lie behind managing and building a successful business so that they can sky-rocket their business development. Game Executive has been running successfully for six years, bringing together participants from all over the world and offering global networking opportunities. The program is delivered in collaboration between Finland’s top university and industry, including experts, investors, partners, and most importantly, the Finnish games community.
